BECOMING A STUDENT

happy sit skiier

CASS is for anyone who cannot participate in a mainstream ski lesson. Many of our students have physical or cognitive impairments that make it difficult to be part of the traditional ski school.

To participate as a CASS student you must first join the organization as a member. This is free of charge.

STEP 1 – Let us Know you are Interested

Please email us to let us know you are interested. We will set up a time to meet or talk on the phone so we can help you get registered!

STEP 2 – Complete the CASS Student Application with the Program Coordinator

we are working on getting an online portal up and running, but in the meantime we will do things the old fashioned way. After compacting CASS via email, the program coordinator will email ro call you to set up a meeting at the Hart ski Hill Day lodge to do a meet and greet and to fill out the ‘getting to know you’ paperwork.

If you are a returning student, you can email our program coordinator to let them know you want to ski with us for the season, and we will be in touch. We will review your goals for the season.

Email

You can always just send us an email and we will be happy to help you through the process.

STEP 3 – BCAS (CADS) Membership

You will need to purchase an annual membership from BC Adaptive Snow Sports. It was $53 in 2019-2020. This provides liability insurance and supports the development of adaptive snow sports both provincially and nationally. You also get discounts when skiing at a number of BC ski hills.
